Company vision

Sustainable working method for a sustainable living environment.

In line with working in an ecologically responsible manner, Ecovery always goes for sustainable. The right choice of material is of the utmost importance here. Materials with a long lifespan are chosen, which are manufactured in an environmentally conscious manner in Belgium or, if this is not possible in Europe. The choice of materials that are produced domestically contributes to reduced emissions from transport and at the same time stimulates the growth of the local market.

Larch is used as a type of wood for nesting boxes.
Unlike plywood boards that are often used for nesting boxes, larch boards are not glued. This type of wood can be used as it were purely natural and untreated and has a natural resistance to rotting and various fungi. The density makes larch more resistant to deformation, warping and shrinkage in varying wet and dry conditions. Ecovery consciously opts for planks with a thickness of 20-25mm. This thickness ensures good insulation of the cabinets. For example, it will not cool down too much in nest boxes at cold temperatures and it will not quickly overheat at high temperatures. In addition, thick wood simply has a longer lifespan than thin wood.
