This website and this privacy statement are intended for a Belgian and Dutch audience.

We strive to handle your information in a way that is fair and in line with your expectations, and we recommend that you read the information in this privacy statement and confirm that you have read it.

What data do we collect about you?

The data we receive and how we use it depends on what you do when you visit our website or use our webshop.

Your personal data

Personal data is data that can specifically identify you, such as your:

  • first and last name;

How does Motion Planet use personal data?

Non-personal data

Non-personal data is data that cannot identify you or in any way be linked to you. The non-personal data we collect through this website does not identify you as an individual person and will not lead to you. This can be data such as:

What does Ecovery do with non-personal data?

We are always looking for ways to better serve you and improve our products, services, and website experience. We use non-personal data about you to make this website more practical for visitors. We can also use non-personal data for other business purposes. For example, we can use non-personal data or collect non-personal data to:

  • compile reports for internal use to develop programs, products, services, or content;
  • adjust or improve the information or services provided;

Does Ecovery ever share personal data with third parties?

Ecovery only shares personal data that is necessary for the proper handling of your question or order with third parties that are involved in the supply, home delivery or payment. In normal business operations, we can share certain personal data with companies affiliated with Ecovery or with external companies that we hire to perform services or work on our behalf.

For example, we can:

  • use other suppliers and sellers to send products that you order on our website to you. In those cases, we provide the seller with the information needed to process your order, such as your name and postal address;
  • share address data with parcel services such as DHL, Bpost and GLS so that they can deliver the correct products to the right place;
  • process payments via the Mollie platform;
  • use a service provider to manage certain newsletters or informational mailings for which you have registered and to provide access to your email address for this purpose;
  • use a third-party application or platform to manage and track our communications with you;
  • use our affiliated companies to provide services related to your personal data. We may, for example, store your information on a secure server at a location of our affiliated company in Europe or the United States. How long do we store your personal data?

  • If you let us know that you no longer wish to receive a newsletter from us, for example, we will immediately remove your email address from our mailing list;
  • If you participate in a program via our website, we will delete the personal data provided as part of that program within a reasonable period after completion (a reasonable period is normally, for example, six months after completion, unless we have legitimate reasons to retain some information for longer (e.g., if necessary for validation or to comply with retention obligations));
  • If you purchase an item with a warranty period, we will retain your data for as long as the warranty period lasts so that we can apply the warranty to damaged or non-defective materials
  • Mollie payment platform will not retain your personal data for longer than the mandatory legal period or, if no such mandatory legal period applies, not longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your personal data has been obtained.

What happens if the privacy statement is changed?

This privacy statement was last revised on November 13, 2020. We may change this privacy statement at any time and for any reason. If we decide to make substantial changes to our privacy statement, we will post a notice on the homepage of our website for a certain period of time after the change is made. We recommend that you review this privacy statement each time you visit the website.

Are there special rules about the privacy of children?

We attach value to protecting children's online privacy. We will not wilfully collect any personal data (such as a child's name or email address) from children under 16 without the consent of someone with parental responsibility. If you think we have collected personal data from someone under 16, please contact us.

What about website security?

Security is very important to us. We also understand that security is important to you.
