Wolvenberg is a unique natural area within the ring of Antwerp. Here we place the animal tower, built to provide as many animal species as possible with nesting facilities and food. The animal tower is made up of 3 floors on which dead branches and trunks lie of various thicknesses and wood species. Different birds, insects, beetles and mammals find a suitable nesting place here or discover an abundance of food here. The animal tower is built in such a way that there is a great variety of conditions. Some branches lie in a rather sheltered, shady place while others lie more open and in the sun.
Next to the tower, we have placed a bee hive heap for both mason bees and mining bees. At the bottom of the tower, a branch hedge is provided. Mammals like rabbits often make a burrow under such a branch hedge because the entrance is then more hidden. In addition, there is a pile of boulders, ideal for various amphibians. In addition, there is also a beetle breeding ground. This consists of various buried trunks, ideal for larvae of longhorn beetles and beetles. In short, a tower with a variety of fauna provisions.
