Description

Wolvenberg is the only nature reserve within the Antwerp ring road. Here we place the animal tower, built to provide as many animal species as possible with nesting places and food. The animal tower consists of 3 floors on which there are dead branches and trunks of various thicknesses and types of wood. Various birds , insects, beetles and mammals find a suitable nesting place here or discover an abundance of food here. The beast tower is constructed in such a way that there is a wide variety of circumstances. Some branches are located in a rather wind-free, shady place while others are more open and in the sun.

Next to the tower we have placed a bee hive heap for both mason bees and digger bees. There is a branch hedge at the bottom of the tower. Mammals such as rabbits often make a den under such a hedge of branches because the entrance is then more hidden. There is also a pile of boulders, ideal for various amphibians. There is also a beetle incubator. This consists of various buried trunks, ideal for larvae of longhorn beetles and beetles. In short, a tower with a variety of fauna facilities.
