Description

Along the Brussels highway near Aalst, between Erembodegem and Affligem we placed an ecoraster with badger grids and badger gates. The fencing ensures that no wildlife ends up on the road. This grid is made of galvanized steel with robinia posts with an amphibian wall at the bottom. At the customer's request, a gate was also provided in the ecoraster, which is also equipped with an amphibian wall and grid.

A badger grid ensures that there is still a passage for vehicles, but that badgers do not walk over the grid. The badger gates ensure that various animal species, which have still been hit by the side of the road, still find their way back behind the eco-grid. The animals walk along the grid. At the height of the badger gate, there is a transverse fencing, so that animals are guided through the gate. By means of a hatch, the gate can be opened from one side, but animals cannot pass through it towards the road.
