The 1FFH bat box has been specially developed to offer a high-quality habitat for a wide range of bat species. Thanks to two spacious compartments – combined with vertical space for climbing behavior – an ideal microclimate is created for both colonies and solitary bats. The robust wood concrete ensures a long lifespan, minimal maintenance requirements and excellent protection against weather influences.
Placement tips
Place the box in a quiet location with a clear flight path, preferably on a tree trunk or facade at a height of about three to five meters. Ideally, direct the box south, southeast or southwest so that it receives sufficient sunlight. Avoid areas with direct artificial light or excessive disturbance, allowing bats to nest undisturbed. Also, ensure that the environment is rich in insects, so that bats can find food nearby.
