The electronics are powered by 2 AA batteries that are widely available, and provide an autonomy of 36 hours. So that not a single second of these 36 hours is lost, this instrument is equipped with motion sensors that put the device in sleep mode when you are not observing. The APC (angle power control) function detects the position of the binoculars. If the device is vertical, such as when it hangs around your neck or is on a table, it goes into sleep mode. From the moment the device returns to a more horizontal position, when you start observing, the electronics immediately come back into operation. No fuss with the on-off button, no accidental empty battery. A timer also ensures that the device shuts down completely after 90 minutes, regardless of whether the device was in active mode or sleep mode. There is also an indicator that tells you when the battery is almost empty.
The APC STABILIZED binoculars are ergonomically shaped and feature a 4 cm long focusing wheel that can be easily operated by 3 fingers. Although the APC STABILIZED does not look ordinary, it is just as handy to use as any other binoculars.
