The correct pupil distance can be easily determined by following these steps:
- Bend the binoculars until they are at their narrowest.
- Move both parts apart until you can comfortably look through the binoculars.
- Then choose an object at about 100 meters and slowly move both parts in or out until a single round image is formed.
- When an image is now visible without black borders, turn the Vortex Binocular Blockade into the designated place and check if you can still look through the binoculars as desired. In this way you have adjusted the binoculars to the pupil distance of your eyes. Keep in mind that the pupil distance can be different for everyone. This makes it possible that someone else does see black borders. In this case, the above steps must be repeated.
When the Binocular Blockade is correctly adjusted, the Vortex Binocular Tripod Adapter Pro can be easily slid over it, after which it can be tightened from above. After this, the binoculars can be mounted on a tripod and you are assured of a still image.
