For the municipality of Ichtegem, Ecovery in één fully turn-key project a playground designed, produced and installed in the cheerful
‘Zoemie’ theme of the House of the Child. Here safety, sustainability and play value always received the highest priority.
At the entrance of the playground, the honeycombs of a beehive built from recognizable hexagonal structures stand out, with a section for
older children and a section for the younger children. Here both can test their climbing and scrambling skills. In the background is the
central playground with various classic play equipment geïntegreerd. From a cable car and slide to a hexagonal swing and a sturdy
spinning top, so that for every age and every play rhythm there is something to experience.
To strengthen the learning aspect, we placed multiple educational panels. Thus there is an abacus that step by step shows how mason bees build their
nest, and there are informative boards that let children in a playful way become acquainted with the different life stages of animals.
As designer, producer én installer took Ecovery the whole process into its own hands: from the first concept sketch to delivery and aftercare.
Thus for Ichtegem a safe, sustainable and inspiring play environment arises where children playfully learn nature and each other
discover.
