Description
The box of the bat post is draft-free as well as light and waterproof. The natural roughness of the wood ensures that the bats can optimally climb and linger in the box. Two Robinia poles with a length of 6 to 7 meters ensure that the bottom of the cabinet is at a height of at least four meters.
- The location is quite insect-rich as bats hunt numerous flies, mosquitoes, sedge moths, mayflies, lacewings and moths
- There are quite a few trees nearby
- It is important that there is as little light pollution as possible, the darker the better
- As little disruption as possible is recommended
- There must be a clear approach path of at least 3 meters around the pole
- The cabinet hangs at a height of 4 meters
- The box can be placed in the sun, bats like warmth
