Description

Bats mainly use landscape elements such as tree rows and hedgerows for their flight route and often avoid open areas. At wide roads, the flight route is disrupted. A hop over is a bat passage that ensures that bats remain flying at the right height when crossing the road, so that bats are not hit by passing vehicles. In the case of too large open areas, the flight route can be maintained by placing multiple hop overs.
The construction consists of a galvanized metal pole with a shape on it with an area of +/- 2 m² in corten steel. The poles have a total height of 5 – 6 meters.
At the bottom of the pole, a base is welded that allows attachment to a concrete foot. The footplate is bolted to threaded rods cast into the concrete foot.
