Description

IB VL 10 Bat Built-in Box | Spouw & Façade New Construction, Renovation and Retro‑insulation

The IB VL 10 bat nesting box is designed to larger groups of bats, including maternity and winter groups, a safe and spacious dwelling to provide. Thanks to the slim construction the box fits seamlessly into an existing cavity of 5 à 6 cm.

The box is used in combination with the IB VL 09 entreesteen, which is mortared into the outer wall. For façades with their own cladding, such as timber frame construction (HSB), a suitable connection to the entry opening must be provided.

The IB VL 10 is manufactured from exterior plywood and finished with sprayed cork for extra insulation. The tapered design on the interior ensures that bat droppings are removed through the entrance stone, keeping the box clean. The box fully complies with the BIJ12 knowledge document for the common pipistrelle.
