Description
This duck basket is used as a breeding and hiding place.
Wild ducks breed from March to June, the young ducklings leave the nest from the first day.
INSTALLATION
Place the duck nest box early in the year, as ducks start building their nest in February. Place the nest box with 3 or 4 poles above the water surface up to a maximum of 1 meter above the water. The nest box can also be placed in dense vegetation at the edge of the water. When placed in the water, it is protected against land predators.
Different duck nest boxes are placed at a minimum distance of 2 meters from each other.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the nest box after each breeding season.
From the end of July, you can store the nest box in a dry place until the next breeding season, this way it lasts longer.
