INSTALLATION
You can best mount the nesting box to a tree or wall at a height of maximum 2 meters.
The wren prefers to nest in a quiet, sheltered and well-hidden spot between many shrubs or between ivy. Do not place the nesting box in a spot with direct sunlight and ensure that the opening is not directed towards the rainy side. Ensure a free flight path for the bird.
If you want to place multiple nest boxes, hang them at least 10 meters apart. Do not place the nest boxes near a feeding house either. Keep a distance of about 3 meters from it. This is in connection with the territory of birds. Also, do not come too close to the nests when the birds are breeding.
MAINTENANCE
In autumn, the nest box is cleaned.
