Description
In theory, black tits can also breed in the other tit boxes, but in reality these are usually occupied by the more aggressive great tit. It is therefore recommended to use this nest box if the target species is the black tit.
PLACEMENT
This cabinet is placed in coniferous forests or in mixed forests with enough conifers.
There is no minimum mounting height for this nest box. Coal tits naturally breed in tree cavities as well as in cavities between tree roots and branch piles. The higher the cupboard hangs, the less chance that cats will get the birds. You can provide extra protection for the nest box by placing a marten and cat ring and/or a protection plate.
MAINTENANCE
Clean the nest box after the breeding period.
