Characteristics
The Force-20 from Spypoint is a wildlife camera trap that can take 20 Mega Pixel photos and videos when it detects movement. It has a fast trigger speed of 0.7 seconds. The camera detects movements up to 21 m distance. During the day, the images are in color and at night in grayscale, via an infrared camera. Night images are illuminated with 48 super-low glow LEDs, so that the night recordings are sufficiently lit. Images can be provided with date, time, temperature (°C/°F) and moon phase of the moment of observation (see photos). The image material is stored on an SD card in the camera. They cannot be viewed on site. The LCD screen is used solely to configure the camera. It can be set in 3 modes;
- Multi-shot mode: 5 photos per trigger
- Time-lapse mode: Take a photo at a regular time interval between 30 seconds to 1 hour.
- Continuous mode: This mode overwrites the oldest files when the SD card is full.
Suitable for placement in a remote location. Can be tied to a tree with a strap.
Supplied with a 16 GB SD card and SD card reader to transfer image material to the computer (required for computers without an SD card slot).
The camera has an exceptionally long battery life. AA lithium batteries last longer than regular AA batteries. Not compatible with Spypoint lithium batteries. Eight AA batteries required. These are not supplied. Various modes:
The camera has an incredible battery life when powered by 8 AA batteries and even longer when using AA Lithium batteries. Not compatible with the Spypoint Lithium battery.
