Description

An estimated one million frogs and toads fall into gullies every year. The steep concrete walls deprive the amphibians of the ability to save themselves.

The toad ladder was developed in collaboration with Ravon (Reptiles, Amphibians, Fish Research Netherlands) and is a very effective accessory that takes into account the preference of toads to climb out of the chamber via the corner. The stairs can only be used in combination with a screen. The screen, which functions as a coarse filter to retain dirt, also serves as a base on which to click the toad ladder. A toad ladder can also be useful in other situations, such as against embankments that form a barrier for the animals.
