Description
The Bat Box 1FF is a flat, narrow nesting box, specially designed for bat species that use cavities and narrow spaces. Thanks to the opening at the bottom, droppings can easily fall out, making the box maintenance-free. The design combines wood-concrete with a wooden back that absorbs temperature differences — allowing bats to choose between cool or warm contact surfaces. The box is suitable for steep walls or facades and can be easily attached with a single central screw or nail.
Placement tips
Mount the box in a quiet location with a clear flight path, for example on a tree trunk, facade or tower. Preferably direct the opening towards the south, southeast or southwest to allow for some sunlight. Avoid direct lighting or busy environments to allow bats to use their residence undisturbed. Thanks to its flat shape and central attachment, it is also suitable for light facade panels or rental properties where only limited assembly is possible.
