Description
The black redstart is not very shy around humans. It often nests in buildings, old barns and sheds. Due to the renovation of houses and the demolition of old buildings with many niches and crevices, this bird is having a tough time.
INSTALLATION
The nest box and built-in box can be finished flush with the facade, plastered or clad with bricks so that only the relevant entrance hole is visible.
The black redstart prefers warmth and breeds most readily in sunny locations.
MAINTENANCE
The large oval entrance hole makes it easy to clean the nest box; do this after the breeding season.
