Description
This 1-layer basic bat box with entrance stone is part of a series of modular built-in bat boxes made of wood-concrete developed by Faunaprojecten. The series of built-in bat boxes consists of nine modular boxes; the cabinets can be expanded indefinitely and interchanged with each other. This makes it possible to put together all possible built-in bat boxes, entirely according to your own wishes.
PLACEMENT
The design of the cabinet has been adapted to placement in the masonry. However, the box can also be incorporated into a facade of wall panels and other types of facade cladding. The cabinet can be placed in masonry in three ways: placement behind the masonry with an entrance stone, placement in the masonry, finishing with brick strips and placement flush with the masonry.
The supplied cabinets can be easily connected to each other on the construction site. All elements have breakout walls on both sides and the top. The break-out wall must be removed on the side where two cabinets are to be connected. Removing a knockout wall is best done with a hammer and chisel. When the two break-out walls have been removed, the two cabinets can be placed against each other, with the obtained openings abutting each other.
