IB VL 05 Bat Built-in Box for Facade | New construction & Renovation
The IB VL 05 bat built-in box is a sustainable bat box for facade integration which is suitable for new construction and renovation. The box is equipped with two compartments with a spacing of 22 mm, allowing bats to use different resting places.
Through the entry opening and passage in the partition wall bats reach the interior spaces. The box can serve as summer residence, pair residence and – in mild winters – as winter residence.
The built‑in bat box can be applied in masonry façades and overlay façades. The front is placed flush with the façade or can be lightly recessed for finishing with stone strips, so that only the entrance hole remains visible.
The box complies with the guidelines of the Bij12 knowledge document for the common dwarf bat.
