Description
The Bat Box 1FTH Universal Summer Residence provides an advanced habitat for multiple bat species during the summer months. Thanks to five separate living chambers with different geometries and climate zones, both small species (such as pipistrelle species) and larger species (such as the common pipistrelle or Nathusius' pipistrelle) can be accommodated here. The wood concrete material (wood-concrete) forms a stable microclimate together with ventilation provisions, which absorbs external variations and thus continuously provides suitable living space.
Placement tips
Install the box at a minimum height of approximately 3 meters on a facade, pillars, bridges, or freestanding structure with a free flight path. Preferably orient the entrance to the south, southeast, or southwest so that the box captures sufficient sunlight and allows for heat buildup. Avoid direct artificial lighting and busy disturbing zones so that bats can quietly fulfill their playful and resting needs. Thanks to the modular design, multiple elements can be placed next to each other to accommodate larger colonies.
