Description
The Universal Sommerquartier 2FTH is a spacious and durable summer roost for bats. The design offers multiple species a safe resting and breeding location, even in areas where natural cavities are lacking. Thanks to the robust construction of weather-resistant wood concrete and the optimized internal structure, a stable microclimate is created. The box is ideal for use in gardens, parks, agricultural areas and wooded environments, but can also be excellently attached to buildings.
Placement tips
The bat box is best placed at a minimum height of three meters, on a facade, tree or other stable construction with a free flight path. The opening is preferably directed south, southeast or southwest so that sufficient warmth enters. Avoid locations with direct artificial light or bustle, so that bats can undisturbed use their roost. For larger colonies, multiple boxes can be mounted next to each other.
Main features:
The box is made of weather-resistant wood concrete and has dimensions of approximately 50 centimeters wide, 70 centimeters high and 19.5 centimeters deep. The weight is approximately 25 kilograms. Standardly, the box is delivered in light gray, but a black variant is also available. The design is low maintenance and largely self-cleaning, with the possibility of inspection via the underside. For mounting, a sturdy hanging bracket, screws and plugs are included.
