Description
The Bat Box 3FS offers a spacious and safe residence for small bat species that gather in larger groups. Thanks to the spacious interior volume and the specially shaped entrance, this box is extremely suitable for species such as the pipistrelle bat, the Daubenton's bat or the whiskered bat. The robust design with wood-concrete ensures long-term durability and protection against weather and wind.
Placement tips
To make optimal use of the box, choose a location at a height of three to six meters, on a tree trunk or facade with a free flight path. Preferably direct the box to the south, southeast or southwest so that it receives some sun, which promotes the temperature in the box. Make sure that there is no direct artificial light shining on the entrance and avoid busy or heavily lit locations; this ensures a quiet environment in which bats can safely stay. Check and clean the box (if necessary) only outside the breeding season to prevent disturbance.
