Description
The bat box has no back, it is placed on the outside wall like a bowl. Bats can climb into the box via the rough outer wall. The bat box is supplied with a special foam strip that can be placed around the back to achieve an optimal connection with the outside wall.
INSTALLATION
The bat boxes are easy to install with the supplied screws.
Place it at a minimum height of 3 m, but preferably as high as possible. Do not place the box near a window or lamppost. Give it preferably a sunny position. Bat boxes are usually discovered most quickly if they are placed near an existing flight path. Suitable positions for bat boxes are positions just under eaves. If you hang them in the context of compensation or mitigation, the guideline should be that for every disappearing place of residence, 4 replacement places should be hung.
