Description

Insect hotels come in many shapes and sizes. Installing an insect hotel can have a very positive impact on the ecosystem of the environment. It gives a boost to insect life in your garden, which attracts more birds and also ensures that many crops, including fruit and vegetables, are well pollinated. The wild flora is also pollinated in this way. The insects also help to control leaf caterpillars and houseflies.

Our insect hotels have a depth of 14 cm and the holes range in size from 2 to 9 mm.

INSTALLATION

An insect hotel is best placed such that the entrances are facing south or southeast and are in full sun. A southwest orientation should be avoided to prevent rain from entering. Furthermore, a sheltered location is preferred, so if possible, protected from strong winds.

It is essential that the box is placed near, preferably native, flowering plants. We refer to these as nectar plants, plants that can provide nectar and pollen as food. Finally, it's also best to have water nearby.
