Description

Insect hotels come in many shapes and sizes. Placing an insect hotel has a very positive impact on the ecosystem in the environment. It gives a boost to insect life in your garden, attracting more birds birds and resulting in many crops, including fruit and vegetables, being well pollinated. Wild flora is also well pollinated in this way.

PLACEMENT
An insect hotel should preferably be placed so that the entrance holeand southeast or south‑facing are, in full sun. Southwest oriëntation should be avoided to prevent rain. Furthermore a wind‑sheltered location is preferred, so if possible place it sheltered against strong wind.

It is essential that the box is placed near, preferably native, flowering plants. We refer to these as nectar plants, plants that can provide nectar and pollen as food. Finally, it's also best to have water nearby.
