Description
If oystercatchers are already breeding in the area, this nest box can increase the number of breeding couples.
PLACEMENT
The nest box for the oystercatcher or common gull is placed on the bank or in the water. Because oystercatchers are highly territorial birds , it is recommended to leave a minimum of 300 meters between 2 different nest boxes.
Fill the bottom of the nest box with approximately 5 cm of pearl gravel.
MAINTENANCE
Replace the pearl gravel after the breeding period.
