Description
The nesting box is handmade from frost-resistant stoneware and has a sturdy, closed structure that provides protection against rain, wind, and cold. Thanks to the open, flat back, the bird pot can be easily attached to a wall or tree. The lateral entrance hole provides extra shelter and rest in the nest.
This tit nest box is particularly suitable for species such as the blue tit, coal tit, crested tit and marsh tit, but sparrows also make use of it gladly. During the winter months, the pot also functions as a hiding place, allowing birds to find shelter outside the breeding season.
For extra accessibility, you can attach a small wooden twig under the opening. This helps the birds land and enter the nest box.
INSTALLATION
- Attach the nest box at a minimum 1.8 meters height
- Choose a quiet, sheltered spot with a free flight path
- Avoid mounting in direct sunlight or on the rainy side
- Preferably place on the north side of wall or tree
MAINTENANCE
Clean the nest box preferably in autumn. This can be done easily via the open back.
