Description
With an entrance hole of 28 mm, the box can be occupied by the blue tit or black tit.
If the nest box is placed in an area where squirrels and/or woodpeckers live, it is best to provide a protective plate. This way, attackers cannot widen the opening to steal eggs.
LOCATION
Tits do not like temperatures that are too high, so do not hang the hive in direct sunlight.
The direction is not of utmost importance, but in open areas it is best with the opening to the east. Tits are often the victims of cats, so it is best to hang the box at a height of at least 2 meters. You can also provide a marten/cat ring for protection. It is best to hang different tit boxes at least 30m apart.
MAINTENANCE
It is recommended to clean this cabinet annually in the winter.
